Tellington Touch, also known as T-Touch was “discovered” by Linda Tellington-Jones decades ago when working with behavioral challenged horses. Applying this method on more and more horses, she noticed improvements not only in behavior but also in health and performance. Soon, she helped other animals, such as dogs, cats, zoo animals and some wild life to cope with and improve their specific challenges. She also teaches courses on how to apply Tellington Touch to humans.
Tellington Touch is a gentle method using connected circular touches and some lifting and stroking movements on the skin to stimulate the body cells’ function and awaken the innate “intelligence” within cells themselves.
I personally have found Tellington Touch to be invaluable not only in my harmonizing work but also in my role as a cat sitter. It has helped some of my shyer and reserved cat clients trust me within a short period of time, and the more fearful-aggressive kitties to accept me within their “territory” (aka home).
Tellington Touch is easy to learn and easy to incorporate during petting and cuddling. Just a few minutes of T-Touch each day can influence your cat’s well-being and behavior and deepen the bond between you and your feline companion.
