for Senior Cats
Perhaps you cat came into your life as a kitten, and after many years of relishing his or her company you begin noticing signs of aging. Or you simply have a soft spot in your heart for senior cats, and you adopted the oldest or most health-challenged cat you could find at your local shelter or rescue organization.
Whether your cat has age-related health care needs or continues to thrive without any symptoms, most senior cats need additional support for their physical and mental-emotional well-being.
In addition to regular vet visits, healthy nutrition, age-appropriate exercise and quality time with your cat, harmonizing the life force energy can help maintain and enhance your cat’s health and well-being.
“The harmonious flow of “chi” or life force energy throughout the body is key for optimal health and well-being.”
My intentions with this work are first and foremost to help harmonize the life force energy in your cat’s body. I do not “fix” or “heal” anything. I am simply “BE-ing” with the animal, listening to the animal’s energy with gentle touch in form of Jin Shin Jyutsu, acupressure and/or Tellington Touch.
Done on a regular basis, harmonizing the life force energy in the body can support healthy aging and may help maintain the good health of your beloved cat. Once health challenges have developed, harmonizing the life force energy has its place as complementary service to the treatments your vet is prescribing. It invites the body to heal itself.
Many senior pets are afflicted by health issues, such as:
Heart and circulatory conditions
Kidney and urinary tract conditions
Senility and cognitive dysfunctions
Because older animals tend to move less, joints and muscles tend to stiffen, metabolism may slow down causing digestive issues, weight gain and accumulation of toxins in the body; and aches and pains develop. Often, the physical signs of aging are accompanied by changes in behavior.
Harmonizing the life force energy is a useful complementary approach helping senior cats to better cope with their ailments and improve their quality of life. Because of their gentle and non-invasive nature, Jin Shin Jyutsu, acupressure and Tellington Touch are especially suited for older animals.
Some of the benefits these modalities can provide are:
Support the body’s ability to heal and restore itself
Support the immune system to prevent or better cope with illness
Support circulatory and digestive functions
Support joint and muscle functions
Assist in reducing fear, anxiety and stress
Help build trust
Enhance body awareness and self-confidence
Promote acceptance of touch
Help deepen the bond between you and your animal friend (if you choose to learn some harmonizing holds).
Please note: My work does not directly “treat” these and other health conditions. Instead, my first and foremost intention is to harmonize the life force energy in your cat’s body so that the body can utilize its own wisdom and healing capacities to do what it needs to do. I am not focusing on specific “outcomes”. I am simply harmonizing!

If your animal friend is under treatment with your veterinarian, I will gladly work with your veterinarian to develop a harmonizing strategy that will complement the care your beloved cat is receiving.
In addition to harmonizing the life force energy I am also offering Comfort & Care Visits.
Comfort & Care Visits
Caring for our senior cats can be challenging, especially if you are working full-time, and/or have children to care for or other family members to support. Whether your beloved cat needs to have his or her medications three or more times a day, frequently misses the litter box or vomits, or simply just wants to be held and comforted for longer periods of time- it requires that you make sufficient time in your daily schedule to care for your cat, meet his or her needs, provide sufficient physical and emotional comfort and keep his or her environment safe and clean.
Just like for a care giver for humans, it may take a toll on your energy level and overall well-being. Because cats are so sensitive to their surroundings- including your emotions- it is important that you care for yourself, and remain stress-free, calm, attentive and present in the company of your cat.
When the task to care for your beloved ailing feline friend becomes stress-full or seems to overwhelm you-
please seek support!
